We understand that it’s not always feasible to visit our showroom, so we’ve put together a guide with detailed information on all available options, to help you find the whiteboard that best fits your company’s needs.
How often will the Whiteboard be used?
There are two types of whiteboard surface. Porcelain Ceramic and Lacquered Value Whiteboards. There is a decent price difference between the two types of whiteboard, it is important to choose the right one.
Porcelain Ceramic Whiteboards are the best choice if your board will be used regularly. Ideal for education, commercial, and other medium to high use applications. The non porous surface is easy to clean and won’t stain, scratch or ‘ghost’.
Features
Lacquered Steel (Acrylic) Value Whiteboards are ideal for general use. Value whiteboards are better suited to low to medium usage.
Features
How many people will be using the Whiteboard?
As an extension to the question above, if there are alot of different people using the whiteboard and it needs to be fully cleaned after each session, then a Porcelain (Ceramic) Whiteboard would be the better option as it’s surface will require less cleaning and the whiteboard will have less ghosting.
What size Whiteboard are you considering?
We understand that while there are different standard size options for whiteboards, sometimes the standard sizing doesn’t fit the office space. That’s where the custom made to size whiteboards come in, there are two options available, the Porcelain (Ceramic) Whiteboards and the Frameless Whiteboards.
How will you attach it to the wall?
Most traditional whiteboards and the ultra thin frame whiteboards have a simple bracket mounting system that will easily work on a gib wall or concrete block wall with the right tools.
Porcelain (Ceramic) Whiteboards, Lacquered Steel (Acrylic) Value Whiteboards and Ultra Thin Frame Whiteboards are attached to the wall with concealed wall fixings, including brackets that screw into the wall.
Frameless Whiteboards are glued to the surface / wall to create a seamless look. Please note: The removal of these Whiteboards off the wall can mean removal of the wallpaper or paint it is adhered to.
How quickly do you need it?
Standard sizes for both Porcelain (Ceramic) whiteboards and Lacquered Steel (acrylic) Value Whiteboards are Rapid Dispatch, which means these items can dispatch within 1-2 working days from time of order.
Custom Whiteboards are made to order and have a production time of 15-20 working days.
Delivery time of Standard and Custom made Whiteboards, is dependent on your delivery location.
Will the whiteboard be moved around or will it be fixed in one place?
As workspaces become more agile it is increasingly important to have whiteboards that are mobile.
There are a few different options available for Mobile Whiteboards.

Lower back pain is one of the most common health complaints in our modern world. Desk jobs have relegated many individuals to a more sedentary lifestyle, requiring workers to stay sitting for up to 12 hours a day or more. The majority of back pain is caused by poor posture and inadequate back support as a result of spending long hours sitting in poorly designed office chairs.
Though staying seated is a job requirement for many, it is, in fact, possible to prevent back problems at work by finding a desk chair that offers proper lumbar support. If you’re tired of experiencing a bad back due to improper seating, you may want to consider investing in an ergonomic office chair. Read on to learn more about ergonomic back support and what you can do to prevent back pain.
Hours spent hunched over paperwork or squinting at a computer screen can result in poor back and spinal posture. Such posture can overextend the neck and shoulder muscles, resulting in muscle strain throughout the back, neck and shoulders. Many individuals feel as though this pain is an inevitable side-effect of white-collar living, but that is untrue. The problem can be solved by investing in an ergonomic office chair.
A standard work chair is produced with a ‘one-size-fits-all’ design. Though this type of seating may work for some, most individuals will eventually experience back problems from sitting in poorly designed office chairs. Normal office seating cannot provide adequate back support for most individuals. Also, many of these chairs do not allow for the backrest to be adjusted, often exacerbating lower back pain.
Ergonomic desk chairs are better equipped for periods of long sitting. Many are adjustable and can be customized to fit an individual’s height, spinal curvature, and seating arrangement. Additionally, ergonomic office chairs provide the following benefits: improved lower back and lumbar support (as the chair is better suited to the curvature of the spine and shoulders), more comfortable neck positioning and improved everyday posture. All of this will lead to an increased ability to work for longer periods of time with little or no back pain.
Here are the main features you will want to consider before purchasing an ergonomic chair:

How often have you searched for office furniture online, or browsed through a catalogue for a mass market stationery or furniture firm, and come across an ad for a leather office chair at a price that seems too good to be true? Well, the truth is that the deal is probably not quite as good as it first appears.
If you see office chairs being advertised as being “genuine leather” it does not necessarily mean that they are particularly good. There are different types of leather, and the quality can vary greatly between the types. Indeed, just because a chair looks like a leather office chair does not necessarily mean that it has any leather components at all.
Any buyer wanting a good leather office chair, or indeed any other leather product, needs to undertake some research before they make a purchase.
There are various grades of leather and leather look-a-likes. Here are the main ones. Your cheap leather office chairs will normally be manufactured using fabrics at the cheap end of the scale. Surprisingly many of the leather look-alike office chairs are better quality than those made from genuine leather.
Genuine Leather
While it is true that the term genuine leather means that a product is made from real leather, it also means that it is made from the lowest quality leather. Hence, those “cheap genuine leather” office chair deals (or indeed any leather products such as wallets, bags and lounge chairs) are not the bargain that they appear to be.
The genuine leather used in these products will usually be several layers of low-quality leather bonded together with glue. Any better quality leather would first be stripped away. The manufacturer would then paint the bonded strips to improve its appearance and make it look more like better-quality leather.
You might consider purchasing genuine leather office furniture if you have no intention of giving it heavy use, or if you only need it for a short term project, for instance sitting in a showroom, although you might still find a more suitable Eurotex PU product in the price range.
Eurotex PU (Polyurethane)
If it looks like leather and feels like leather, it must be leather, right? Well, no. Eurotex PU (Polyurethane) is a leather-like vinyl. To an untrained eye, this might as well be leather, and for many purposes, it is just as good as real leather, without the expense.
Crucially, unlike many of the cheap genuine leather products, Eurotex PU leather is hard-wearing and durable. It is probably your best choice as an alternative to full-grain leather at a fraction of the price. Office chairs covered in Eurotex PU leather will service longer and remain in a more presentable condition better than many genuine leather office chairs.
Top-Grain Leather
Surprisingly, despite its name, top-grain leather is not the best type of leather you will find used in products. However, top-grain leather products are substantially better than Genuine Leather ones.
You will find many premium brands manufacture their leather products using top-grain leather. This is particularly so with small leather products, such as “name” wallets and purses.
It is produced by taking a section of top quality full-grain leather, splitting it, sanding away any imperfections, stamping a fake grain on it, and then treating and re-colouring it.
Despite, all of this processing, the product is still produced using high-quality leather hide, and with the imperfections removed, probably looks the best of all the leather types. Unfortunately, the processing reduces the leather’s durability, which means that a product made using top-grain leather will not age as well as a product made using full-grain leather.
Full-Grain Leather
Full-grain leather uses the entire grain of hide, including any imperfections. Hence top brands often dislike it because they feel the imperfections may detract from its appearance. You are far less likely to buy a name-brand wallet or bag made from full-grain leather than from the top-grain variety. The manufacturers of these products value appearance over durability.
Full-grain leather is particularly suitable for products which require high durability, such as weapon holsters and utility belts.
Despite having visible imperfections, full-grain leather is recognised to be the best, highest-quality leather you can buy, and it usually has the price tag to reflect this. However, full-leather products will last for many years, making them an investment in many ways.
Because of the premium price, there are not all that many full-grain leather office chairs on the market. However, the few products that exist are of extremely high quality.
Which Should I Select?
The vast majority of “leather” office furniture, online or in-store, is either made from Eurotex PU or genuine leather. Both types are at a similar price-point, but contrary to popular perception, Eurotex PU products will serve you for much longer than genuine leather products, yet they still have a quality leather appearance.
If your budget stretches to top-grain or full-grain leather products, then you will end up with high-end furniture, although top-grain leather products will still wear over time, just not as quickly as genuine leather products.

Are the glass boards magnetic…yeah, nah
A lot of customers love the idea that our glass writing boards are magnetic. That way they can keep all the fridge magnets that they collected while travelling around the world. Well as it turns out it isn’t as simple as that.
The glass boards are not made from some magical material. It is simply a sheet of toughened safety glass with a thin sheet of steel on the back to attract the magnetic. Because the magnet needs to pull through the glass your standard old fridge magnet won’t have the required power and instead you will need neodymium magnets which are generally up to 10 times stronger.
Each board comes with a set of these magnets to get you started and we can tell you where to buy more if you need them.
What sort of pens do you use with these?
A really common question is "now that I’ve brought this sexy, sleek glass writing board, what do I use to write on it?”. The good news is that it doesn’t require anything too exotic. On the white glass boards you can use a standard whiteboard pen, but they do get lost on the black glass boards.
In both cases if you want something that will really POP, then go for a liquid chalk pen. We now have a complete set of pens, magnets and erasers that you can buy individually or we have created kits for each glass writing board option.
For more details check out our Pens and Accessories here
How Do You Mount them To the Wall?
We stock 2 types of boards that have 2 different types of mounting. One has no visable fixings (Premium Glassboards) and offers better value in the following sizes-
• 600 x 1200 (Black)
• 1000 x 1800 (Black
• 600 x 900 (White)
• 900 x 1200 (White)
• 900 x 1500 (White)
• 1200 x 1800 (White)
• 1200 x 2100 (White)
The other type as has an edge fixing (Value Glassboards). These offer smaller and larger options over the the above boards with pre drilled holes.
• 300 x 400 (White)
• 450 x 600 (White)
• 1000x 2100 (White)
• 1000 x 2400 (White)
Below are detailed photos of what our premium glass boards look like from behind, since there are no visible fixings. This includes the rear mounted pen tray (L) as well as the mounting holes on the back (C) and the overall thickness of the board (R)
Can you customise the glass boards in terms of size and colour?
Yes you can but there are a few things that you need to note.
Customised glass writing boards are not magnetic and they will have a small dome fixing on the front. They are also more expensive, but you do have the option to make it to a size that suits your space and have the option of 20 + colours

Two of our most popular options are the Agile Electric and the Cubit Electric from our height adjustable desk range.
Instructions are included with each item, but we feel that the below tips can prepare you for when the desk / workstation is delivered and also answers a few common questions.
Tip 1-
We find it easiest to build the desk / workstation upside down.
Tip 2 -
You must have a cordless drill for attaching the top to the frame. Wood screws are included and have a cross / philips style head. It can be a little easier to drill a small pilot hole first if you are having trouble getting them started.
Tip 3-
The standard top will have holes that won't line up with the adjustable frame. The Cubit and Agile adjustable desks and workstations use the tops from the Cubit range of desks. So there will be holes that are embedded in the top that would normally take an M6 screw. Ignore these holes and place the frame around 80mm in from the back edge and then centre it over the frame.
